My friend Scott re-tweeted this from someone else today and it really hit home!! So I decided to share it here.
So many people have reached out to help this week...Jeanne made sure the info on our event made it to the Patch and we made front story and subject line on their email!!
So many have offered to send cookies, a local dairy delivery person donated 100 small cartons of milk. Francine has been shopping and preparing all the crafts for our kids to enjoy!
Jan has been handling lots of the details for me. Agi got us cash donations to defray costs.
So many people have reached out to offer their help for set up, reading, crafts...We are VERY blessed!!
Now if we can keep the weather on our side we will be all set!!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday...we have several crafts for the kids to do, different stories every 20 min or so (finishing with Twas the Night Before Christmas with Santa), pictures with Santa, our wonderful Choral Group will be singing Christmas Carols and, of course, cookies!!!
So, think of this often...JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T HELP EVERYONE DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULDN'T HELP EVERYONE YOU CAN!!
So, come enjoy the spirit of the season and at the same time help those that you can, by helping us help them the only way we can....day by day!!
