I am thankful for NEW friends and blessed by the ones who have stayed through the long haul!! The family the remains ever faithful through thick and thin! These past 2 years have worn out some people and in others it has revealed how true it is that to have a friend you must actually BE a friend! People come and people go...you touch each other's lives and hope that much good comes from it! Always remembering to take what positive you can and never be jaded by the negative!
I am blessed by so many people in my life:
My Family: a husband who NEVER gets tired...who takes care of us and loves me completely!, My daughter, who might not always do what I want but aways is there when I am in need! My first son, so far away on the west coast but an almost daily phone call! My second son who, along with my daughter in law, has given me a wonderful gift...my granddaughter!! She lights up my life! My third son brings comfort to my life, an added will to be successful in my battle and HUMOR! He keeps my days light! My sister in law...the best one EVER!! 2 nephews and 2 nieces 1 great-nephew and 1 great niece!! Always there for me before, during and after cancer. Even driving in from Connecticut for fundraisers!!
My friends...old and new...Agi, part of my strength, no matter how sick I can get she never backs away! Right beside me through everything making this foundation a forefront in her life!
Francine & Nia...more like family now...they have been here through all of the tough days and the good days.
Tarryn, Lou's daughter...I feel a connection that may have begun with Lou but it is just us now...a friendship in it's own right! Bringing ideas and help to our foundation...making it a priority!
Nora, my new friend...I can tell we come from the same cloth...you are always there to help!
Susan (and family), my patients who are now more friend/family!! Always there with a meal and now with your help in our foundation!
Lisa, becoming a BIG part of the foundation...someone I can always count on to help us...but also to get me out! To shop & lunch!!!
Sherri, I have know Sherri & Howard for quite a while but now feel like we have a bonded. Sherri works wonders with everything she does for the foundation and when she says she will do something, she can be counted on! Not sure if they realize it, but they are probably pretty close to family now!!!
Pete & Jay!! My far away friends!! With out Pete to help with the techincal "stuff" we would be a mess!
SO many others...so many friends...I live a very full life...a life filled with family and friends is what it is all about! It's important to make friends where ever you go but to maintain them you must BE A FRIEND!
So, this was my Day 2 Thankful For! As you can see, MUCH to be thankful for!! I am very blessed!
I love each and every one of you!! Thank you for being in my life....know that you have touch it in a very lasting way!
