She lays next to me during the day as I work on my computer and pushes me with in to the corner of the sofa as she works on getting closer and closer to me!!
So it may sound silly but she is my loyal friend... never faultering in her job of loving me and all of my family!
Day 15 of my month of thankfulness finds me extremely thankful for the kindness of others even for people they have never met! Today was a tough day for one of the many in our"club".
In touching base with Mary Ann today I realized she was struggling. I knew she had treatment today and I know how much that can take out of a person. I hadn't made anything I could bring for dinner but I also knew I could count on the kindness of another. I reached out to someone who has been helping out with the foundation. Lisa was quick with a meal for Mary Ann and her daughter! The kindness of others... it really is out there! It isn't always about money... sometimes it is understand what someone needs at that moment. So, Thank You Lisa for reaching out to someone you don't even know and sharing kindness in the form of a warm meal when it was needed.
Mary Ann's battle, like so many fighting this disease, is proving to be a long one... She will be finishing one phase of treatment soon...only to begin another...I know this story well! It seems like it is NEVER ending.
Please consider helping us help her and so many others...maybe it's with a warm meal, a visit, a ride or errand...perhaps it's financial help...but please consider helping us to ease the burden and give hope to someone...day by day!
