We have had several busy weeks and continue to be busy!
September 27th was our Spiritual Evening with Lorraine Moore! The evening was a great success...everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we made some money for our cause!! I want to thank all those that joined us and made it such a success....with out you we couldn't bring this foundation into the light! Special thanks to Lorraine Moore for coming to our aid when our previous medium had to back out at the last minute. Everything happens for a reason...and our connection with Lorraine was Meant to be!!! We will be making plans for the future with Lorraine!!
October 6th brought Deana & I to Connecticut where we once again represented DBDH at the 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Photo Shoot. It was a wonderful weekend to spite the rain. Many friends and family came out to support us...I thank each everyone of you...it meant the world to me. Many of my childhood friends donated to our foundation...we thank you...I thank you from the bottom of my heart...the memories we share are made more special because we continue to make more each and every time we are together!!
Deana and I stayed with my childhood friend, Eileen. Most people are amazed that after 52 years we are still great friends!! We had grown apart recently but as one of my bridges that needed repair...she is back in my life and you will be seeing LOTS of her!!
I met with Gloria Cirulli from Priceless Events, She and her partner, Marcy Gitterman will now begin planning our Golf Outing & Gala...Fall 2014!!
October 13th brought Len and I to the PINK & BLOOM Brunch for Breast Cancer!! Pink & Bloom is an amazing foundation raising money to help the American Cancer Society. They did a GREAT job today and we hope to have an opportunity to meet again soon!
October 20th will bring me to Diane's Walk!! Part of The Amy Foundation, The Walk For Diane raises money to provide mammograms for women with out insurance! This is A VERY GOOD cause!! We from DBDHF will be out there in FULL swing!! I will be at the registration table so consider coming out and walk for a cause! All the info is on our FaceBook page!
October 27th we will have a table at the LocalChat Box Halloween Spooktacular! We will be giving out candy to the trick or treaters, we will have face painting, some games and for a small donation the kids can make a halloween key chain! We will have our information and our "hope" bracelets there as well. Please come by and stop at our table!
So as you can see, the FUNdraising never quite ends!! We move from one thing to another...We work our butts off so that our next generation....represented here by my Daughter Deana & my Niece Jodi, may not have to deal with the effects of cancer! I pray they never have to hear those words, "I'm so sorry, but it's malignant"!
Until cancer is wiped out we have to keep fighting, keep positive, keep assisting those families that need our strength when they can't find their own!! That's what it is all about...That's why we will continue to attend other organization's fundraiser as well as our own....it takes a VILLAGE to support and fight this fight!
